Testimonials
for "Knitting Secrets"
“I just wanted to let you know how much I loved your knitting
book. I am a real beginner and it helped me tremendously. What I
liked most about the way you write is that I felt like you were
sitting with me and talking me through. So it wasn't boring techniques
like some books that just put you to sleep. I also enjoyed the humor.
I used your directions to bind off my first scarf and it was so
simple. I am still a beginner but I enjoy knitting and hope to continue.
Your book has given me the confidence to keep moving forward with
my knitting.”
Thanks Again.

“I liked the book. I thought that I knew how to knit, but
I finished a scarf project with a simple stitch and pretty yarn,
only to find out that I was keeping too tight of a gauge and the
final project is a 'tight wad', so to speak!
So, needless to say I learned a lot from your book. So I have embarked
on another scarf, with cute fancy yarn, a bigger needle and a looser
gauge.
I am using circular needles and I love them. I want to try a hat
or a winter headband next with the circular thing and then move
on to a cable stitch.”

“LOVE THE BOOK. Well written and designed. A perfect tutorial
for beginners! Thanks for a great product! You can quote me on that!”

“I have read over my e book on knitting and found it very
easy to understand. I am sure anyone can follow the instructions
and learn to knit. I am, at present, knitting a sweater in seed
stitch and things are going well. Thank you so much.”
Patricia Steeves |
“I recently downloaded your book and struck out to reclaim
the knitting skills I have not used in over twenty years. I was
very impressed. I am now completing my second sweater in a month!
Thank you for offering such a complete guide. It is certainly loaded
with tips tricks and clear explanations on just the basics. Most
guides ASSUME that you already know (or remember) the basics! Thank
you again.”

“Just a quick note to say that I really like your E-book.
Yesterday I learned how to do something that I have not been able
to do for years-I just couldn't get the idea out of my head that
it was way to difficult for me to attempt. CABLE KNITTING!!! How
cool! I just sat down at my computer with my ball of yarn, needles,
and cable needle (I didn't even know I had one until recently).
Following your directions, which were very clear and concise, I
did it! It was fun and easy and I can't wait to get going on a project
to incorporate cables into.
I have been glancing over the book and reading things as they jump
out at me. You have done a great job on this book. I also appreciate
your sense of humor intermingled throughout the book.
Thank you for sending me this book. I will use it often and I will
tell my knitting friends about your site and recommend that they
order your book. It is well worth the money.”
Yours truly,

“Sarah, I want to thank you for the help. I was taught
to knit when I was about 10, I am 50 now and although I have knitted
a few times since then I have forgotton so much. I tried to cast
on using both needles and knew I was doing something wrong, but
couldn't figure out what. You are a savior for your tips and help.
Thank you, I am going to be a grandma in April, and I have some
work to do. Thank you again.”

“Thank you so very much! I picked up knitting neck scarves
for Christmas presents. After not knitting for over 10 years, came
to the end of my first scarf and couldn't remember how to cast off.
You are a life saver!!!! Thanks, again :)”

“Hello Sarah, I just wanted to drop you a quick line to
let you know that I LOVE your knitting tips. I have never knitted
before and with your tips I have picked up a new hobbie.
I have already made my daughter a scarf and, lo and behold, my
other 2 daughters wanted one too. If you knew my girls you would
know what an accomplishment this was, as they would never wear one
before.
So my girls and I all say thanks. Keep the tips coming.
Sincerely,”

“Hi Sarah Beth,
I'm so glad I subscribed to your knitting tips! Reading your words
feels like having a conversation with a friend about our knitting
questions or sharing tips we've picked up over the years.
I love to knit, but when I was working I was unable to devote too
much time to it. Now that I no longer work (I'm on disability),
I can get back to doing what I love so much. If I'm rusty in one
area, I see that I'll be able to turn to you to refresh my sometimes-unhelpful
memory.
Thanks for having such a helpful site and thanks, too, for letting
me join you!”

“Hi Sarah,
The book is fantastic. I learned to knit when I was 7 years old
but haven't done anything in about 20 years! This book is perfect
for anyone learning, as it explains everything you need to know
in easy steps. Thanks again.”

“Dear Sarah Beth,
You have been doing a spectacular job coaching me. So far, I am
still working on the one-stitch and trying to complete a sweater
for my daughter. Your book has been an easy reader as well as humorous.
I find your e-mails to be humorous too. Thank you so much for taking
the time to e-mail these tips to me. I am printing them out and
as soon as I can, I will follow the course online.
Thanks so much!”

“I would like to thank you so much. You really don't know
how much I appreciate them. I am a beginner knitter and there is
so much I still have to learn. I enjoy your tips especially because
they are clear and I can easily understand them.
I have spent so much money on "how to knit" books and
they can make the simplest things too complicated and I don't get
anywhere.
But with the tips you have given me, I can make different little
things and have something to show my friends in my knitter's circle.
Thank You ,”

“Dear Sarah,
Thank you for the knitting help. I have been knitting for a long
time but I still occasionally need help. These tips have been very
helpful and I am passing them along to my 2 daughters and 2 granddaughters
who are just starting to knit. Thanks again!”

“I love your tips! I have returned to knitting after quite
a few years and have forgotten a lot. Your tips are taking me step
by step, and I always look
forward to seeing what will be next! Thank you so much!”

“Thank you! I knew how to do the basic knit and purl 30+
years ago, but hadn't picked up a knitting needle since.
My sister has started making the scarves that are popular now and
just thought it would be a great idea for me to do them as well.
She had refreshed my memory on how to cast on and knit, but when
I got my project to the length I wanted, I didn't know how to cast
off. Your website helped!
I enjoyed the project so much, and I can't wait until I can get
to the store to buy more yarn. Your instructions will definitely
help me.”
Marla Lagoski |
“Thank you for the tips - I have found them to be very
helpful. I taught myself to knit some years ago, but I really enjoy
having the benefit of tips and ideas from someone who is accomplished
in the craft.”
Scarlett Ragland |
“I LOVE THIS KNITTING SECRETS BOOK! I have been knitting
since I was about 4 years old, my grandmother taught me. Over the
years I have made a lot of things. I recently picked up the needles
again and have a list of orders. I made my daughter a poncho, I
am working on one for a friend I am trying to teach knitting long
distance. I have hats, gloves, scarves, more ponchos on my list.
I am trying to figure out how to quit my job and knit full time.
If you have any other knitting secrets, please email me. Thank
you so much for the thrill of knitting that this book gave me back.
Gramma did it the first time - you have done it the second time
around! I love this book and everyone who knits should buy it!
Thank you!”
Betsy |
“Dear Sarah,
I want to thank you for the Knitting Book. It is a very good teaching
manual for a beginner, as well as people with experience. I have
learned much from working through the pattern stitches as I go.
I am excited to learn more and enjoy knitting many things. Thanks
so much!”

“Sarah,
I LOVED THE BOOK! I read it about 5 times already. I found the
book funny as well as informative. You write much like I do. (Maybe
that is why I loved it so much!) I have been knitting for many years.
I recently picked it up again and have a list of things to make.
However, I ran into a few items that I was unsure of how to do it
and was stuck. Your book helped with it. I also found a knitting
group that meets every two weeks here. I went last night and really
enjoyed myself. I always thought I was "good", I have
been put in my place!
Well, you keep up the writing of great knitting books, and let
me know of your newest releases.”

receiving your directions. I feel good about learning to knit now
and finally have directions I can understand. Thank You!!”

“I just ordered and read most of your Knitting Tips book
today. I have to tell you I absolutely love it. I only started knitting
on Saturday. My neighbor knits and my 7 year old son asked if she
would teach him. Well I knew it would be too complicated for him
so I decided to spare her and try to teach him myself. It wasn't
very long before we were fighting over the set of needles I had.
I ran to the store and bought a little beginners kit, (hat and scarf)
and I completed both by Sunday afternoon and was eager to learn
more. Your book is perfect; it is both very informative and entertaining.
There really isn't much out there for beginners who want to teach
themselves.
Thanks for your help."
Fran Langschultz |

Georgia |
“I was pleasantly surprised, as it was actually exactly what I needed. Some great little extras that I didn't know about knitting!”
Patricia Jett |
“ The book was very well outlined with the Table of Contents which made it an easy reference to find exactly the right spot to re-read. The text was refreshing not boring like a lot of how-to books. Your pictures of casting on and the first stitches of knitting were very clear and easy to understand. I wish this book had been available when I started.”
Doris Burns |
“Thank you for the wonderful e-book! It is full of most helpful tips and great humor. I also appreciated the "fun - facts." And most importantly, it is written in a very accessible way. This book has added more fun to my beginning knitting experience!
Thanks Again!”

“Sarah Beth, this is one of the best knitting sites ever.
Yes, I cast on all the time. I'm working on a hooded sweater in
denim yarn for my oldest granddaughter. Keep the tips coming.”
Terri Weekley |
“Many thanks for sending me the book via email - it is
absolutely perfect with lots of info and ideas! I am eternally grateful
I can now start knitting thanks to you. Many thanks indeed.”
Cecilia Millbank |
“Hi Sarah Beth,
I haven't knit for 35 years or more! I thought the book was very
well written (loved the touches of humor!), and the graphics were
great. When I began to cast on and do the simple garter stitch,
I was all thumbs! However, I am doing better and hope to start with
a simple project...perhaps a lap blanket for the elderly or a baby
cap for infants in the hospital where I volunteer. I was inspired
to knit again when I saw some of the beautiful work volunteers had
provided for infants and the elderly in the hospital.”
Nancy |
“Hi Sarah,
I have thoroughly enjoyed your knitting instructions. It has been
awhile since I have knitted and this is a great refresher. Also
several children have asked me to show them and it is better for
me to call a garter stitch what it is rather than to say just keep
knitting. Been keeping up with your instructions so far and good
to stimulate the mind as well as receiving R & R. Knitting is
therapeutic. Thanks for offering this and I have passed the site
on to a few newbies.”
Rose |
“Thanks for the great tips that you have emailed me , they have come in handy.. I am a beginner and I am can use all the help that I can get.” |
“Thank you very much for your easy-to-follow instructions
on knitting, I have began knitting and am pleased with the results.”
Carolyne Sigei |
“I think the tips are great. Matter of fact, my mom and
I were just talking about doing a poncho with cables. Perfect timing.
Thank you”
Dali |
“I appreciate all of this information. I already know how
to knit, but I am teaching my granddaughter what I know and this
will help her a lot. The instructions are really great and easy
to understand. Thanks!”
Merlene |
“Dear Sarah Beth,
I very much appreciate your lessons. My daughter and
I have been knitting for about a year. She is 15, I am almost 54. We
know the basics but I still clicked for the beginner lessons as
well as what you are sending. Your lessons are clear,
understandable, and not as overwhelming as a big book. I am ready
to knit more than scarves, though we both have knit many lovely
ones. Thank you for your encouragement and help. Have
a lovely weekend.”

“Have read thru the first chapter and a bit further and
must tell you right off that your style of writing—as tho
you are right here speaking to me, with a hint of sarcasm and plenty
of wit is just wonderful.
I'll email again to let you know if your basic lessons work for me and my daughter. I learned to knit as a teen and completely forgot how....my 11 yr. old just wants to try.
Thanks again.
Good work.”

“Hi!
Thanks a lot for your very helpful knitting tips. I used to do simple
knitting some many yrs. back, but later forgot many stitches. I
always wanted someone to teach me easy knitting and this work you

hope I can master all of it. Please do continue educating
me. God Bless and with warm regards”

“I have quickly scanned through the book, and it looks
as if it is really going to help me a lot. Thank you
so much for doing this and helping people learn to knit!! Keep
me on your mailing list. I have really gotten addicted
to knitting, but I can't do a lot of different patterns and don't
understand gauges or anything, and your book explains it! Thanks
again.”
